Summer is the Best

Published by St. John's on

Summer is here! As visitors arrive to experience the beauty of Jackson, we invite them to discover The Chapel of the Transfiguration in Grand Teton National Park—a sacred place where breathtaking scenery and timeless worship come together. All are welcome. Stay in the loop with St. John’s Outdoors and get outside this summer.

Remember our summer theme is Come Out & Play!

  • Join us to attend or to serve at The Chapel of the Transfiguration each Sunday, through September 27. We are looking for ushers at the 10 AM service, if you’d like to join us.
  • Church in a Tent | Join us on Sunday July 5, our 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. will be outside under the tent! After the 10:00 a.m., stick around for Recess and a BBQ. Recess is a time of fellowship and socializing, a time to catch up with friends and acquaint yourself with new people. We have a wonderful tradition of connection and hospitality and we’re going outside this summer to cookout on the lawn. We will enjoy a family worship service with hamburgers, hot dogs and dessert after!
  • In addition, we will be offering routes for the ice cream e-bike this summer and St. John’s Outdoors outings.
  • Save the date for our Church on a River Flotilla and Baptism on Sunday, July 26. Call the office to get on a raft.
  • Family Camping is back again! August 14-15 | All are welcome at the Colter Bay Campground for this weekend-long time of retreat and rest.

Stay tuned for our summer offerings and make sure that you’re subscribed to our e-newsletter and social media channels.
