Our summer theme has dropped: Come Out and Play

Often in life, we take ourselves so seriously. We have work to do, bills to pay, families to care for, responsibilities to carry. Even our recreation — time spent in the beauty of the wilderness around us — can become a place where we feel the need to strive, measure, and perform.

This summer, we invite you into an ancient, countercultural spiritual practice: play.

Play as joy, laughter and imagination.
Play as lightness, rest, and sabbath.
Play as wonder.
Play as fun.

In the midst of life’s busyness and heaviness, we invite you to live into our summer theme: Come Out and Play.

Together, we’ll recover something of the childlike delight at the heart of our sacred story through a variety of offerings: “recess” instead of coffee hour, off-campus “playdates” out in nature, formation opportunities and Sunday liturgies centered on the gift of play.

So this summer, come outside. Come with your wonder, your curiosity, your creativity and laughter.

Come out and play.

• July 4 – Annual Fourth of July Parade at 10:00 a.m. in downtown Jackson

• August 14-15 – Family Ministry Campout at the Colter Bay Campground
