St. John’s Outdoors

Since we live in such a spectacular place surrounded by God’s creation, we are called to enjoy the beauty by getting outside to play. St. John’s Outdoors is an opportunity to hike, fish, or float, in fellowship with your St. John’s family. Please RSVP and sign the waiver.

Summer 2026 Offerings

  • Blessing of the Fleet | Join us on Tuesday, May 26 at the Jenny Lake Boat Dock for a blessing of the Jenny Lake boat fleet. All ages welcome for this family-friendly event. Arrive at 4:30 p.m. for the blessing, and bring a snack or beverages to toast the occasion!
  • Church on a Beach | It’s a Canoecharist on String Lake and picnic to follow on Thursday, June 18 at 5:30 p.m. Bring a blanket, an inflatable watercraft, and a picnic dinner, and join us for a special lake-side Communion service and time for community connection up in the grandeur of the Park!
  • Walk & Pray | Tuesday, June 30 – Big Rocks Trail 6:00 p.m. at the trailhead or 5:30 p.m. at St. John’s to carpool.
  • Church in a Tent & BBQ | Coffee Hour is a time of fellowship and socializing, a time to catch up with friends and acquaint yourself with new people. We have a wonderful tradition of connection and hospitality and we’re going outside this summer to cookout on Sunday, July 5, 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. We will enjoy a family worship service with hamburgers, hot dogs and ice cream after!
  • Walk & Pray | Saturday, July 18 – Poison Creek Trail 10:00 a.m. at the trailhead or 9:30 a.m. at the church to carpool.
  • Church on a River | Flotilla and Baptism We will launch from Jackson Dam to Pacific Creek on Sunday, July 26 at 2:00 p.m., arrive by 1:30 p.m.! Bring your personal flotation device: a paddleboard, kayak or boat of your choice or reserve your spot on a raft through St. John’s by calling the office. If you’d like to be baptized, please let us know!
  • Family Ministry Campout | Camping is back again! August 14-15 | All are welcome at the Colter Bay Campground for this weekend-long time of retreat and rest.
  • Walk & Pray | Tuesday, August 25 – Ski Lake Trail 6:00 p.m. at the trailhead or 5:30 p.m. at St. John’s to carpool.
