Finding everyday mindful JOY
During our August program meeting, we had the pleasure of hosting Jan Hoath, a dynamic blend of energy, creativity, and fun. She brings a unique expression of spiritual mastery and playfulness to her work. Jan’s ability to engage and bring to life the true essence of mindfulness, happiness, and abundance to our mindful mamas was awe-inspiring. Her personal values and philosophy of ‘leading with play’ along with her signature process of the Happiness Prism™, offers a light-hearted approach to life as a mama.
Her recent accolades include lead facilitation of the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort’s 2019 Mindful Ski & Snowboard Camp and will be returning to lead the 2020 Mindful Ski Camp.
During our session, we discovered how to mindfully navigate life to find authentic happiness and joy, no matter what as Jan shared a personal touching story about her experience of a cancer scare with her then 6-week-old son and his miraculous recovery. We also explored what might be holding us back from more of all that we desire. Then we learned a simple process to start our day in the most joyful empowering way, leaving us with a refreshing perspective on our lives, beyond our roles as mama.
My feeling of joy and my ability to see and experience my “fruit loop moment” is directly correlated to my ability to receive.
Two amazing takeaways were Jan's acronym for J.O.Y of "Just Own You"! and that we are not responsible for our spouse’s / kid’s / friend’s / parent’s / colleague’s joy or happiness. Another is that we are the only ones who can rate and review our abilities to receive. It was truly eye-opening when we completed Jan's powerful receiving exercise. We rated on a scale from 1-5 our abilities to receive everyday experiences like assistance from others, pleasure and money.
We are so grateful to Jan for leading us in this inspiring conversation of mindful joy for mamas and collaborate with her in her ultimate goal in life, which is to assist in the cultivation of more mindfulness, happiness, and abundance in the world.
