What is Sacred Ground?

Sacred Ground is a transformative dialogue series that invites participants to engage deeply with the histories and realities of race and racism in America. Built around a curriculum of documentary films and readings, the series explores Indigenous, Black, Latino, Asian/Pacific American, and European American histories. It interweaves stories of family, economic class, and regional identity, helping participants peel back the layers of division and build a foundation for reconciliation and healing.

This series is grounded in the Christian call to faith, hope, and love and aligns with Becoming Beloved Community, The Episcopal Church's commitment to racial healing, reconciliation, and justice.

Choose your date:

Sundays: 5:30 PM-7:30 PM, Every other week starting January 12 (22 weeks), Facilitators: the Rev. Canon Bobbe Fitzhugh and April French

Mondays: 4:30 PM-6:30 PM, Weekly starting January 13 (11 weeks) Facilitators: the Rev. Chris Galagan and the Rev. Mary Erickson

Tuesdays: 5:30 PM-7:30 PM, Weekly starting January 14 (11 weeks), Facilitators: Betsy Taggart and the Ven. Jill Zimmerschied
