The Rev. Dr. Christie Laughery
The Rev. Dr. Christie Laughery graduated from the North Carolina State University, College of Veterinary Medicine in 1994 and was ordained as a deacon in 2022. In addition to her ministry as a deacon, she makes veterinary house calls, providing compassionate preventative care, wellness services, and oversees pet sitting for beloved companion animals.
Christie is deeply rooted in the life of our community through her work with local nonprofits and serves as the leader of our Sage Living Ministry and as an active co-leader of our Caring Ministries Team. She has a deep love for this valley, this church, and the people who call both home. Whether she’s caring for a family, a beloved pet, or sharing recommendations for a great movie, Christie brings warmth, wisdom, and genuine joy to every conversation. Her ministry is grounded in the belief that love is expressed in the small, faithful acts of presence and care that help our community flourish.
