Blue Bag Drive
The Blue Bag Drive starts November 9. This ministry involves shopping to fill a grocery tote with basic essentials for community members in need.
Pick up a “Blue Bag” and shopping list from the church entrance or the office. Then go shopping for items such as shampoo, tissues, laundry detergent, and dish soap, check out the complete list. Return the filled bag to the church by Sunday, December 7 for a blessing before they are donated to One22, which distributes hundreds of the Basic Needs Bags each year.
Each parishioner that fills a tote will receive a bag to keep. Join with us in this love-spreading!
Here’s how to participate:
- Fill bag with any of the items in this list. (*Full-sized items please!)
- Return the filled bag to St. John’s Church on or before Sunday, December 7.
- Hours to pick-up or drop off the bags in the Narthex on Sunday or during office hours Monday – Thursday 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

- Laundry Detergent
- Dish Soap
- Hand and Body Soap
- Deodorant
- Toilet Paper
- Paper Towels
- Tissues
- Shampoo
- Conditioner
- Razors
- Chapstick
- Pads and Tampons
- Diapers (Size 4, 5, 6)
- All purpose cleaner
- Toothbrushes (individually packaged or packaged in small quantities)
