Spiritual Fly Fishing Pilgrimage
The intersection of the beauty of creation, the art and practice of fly fishing, and the sustenance of our spiritual lives will be the theme of a 2024 winter adventure to the Patagonia Region of Southern Argentina. Stopping first in Buenos Aires, this pilgrimage will head to Estancia Tekka in Argentinian Patagonia for six full days of fishing at this unparalleled lodge and ranch.
Each day will begin with guided thought and prayer connecting our spiritual practices to the art of fly fishing within the beauty and enormity of God’s handiwork in Patagonia. After a day of fishing epic spots, we will have time together to discuss themes of the intersection of ecology, theology, ecclesiology, and traditional and non-traditional spiritual practice. Upon our return to Buenos Aires, we will spend a day touring some of that cities beautiful churches and a trip to Recoleta, the city’s famous and beautiful cemetery.
Our tentative dates are a late February departure with a return in early March—the trip will total about 10 days, including travel. If you have an interest in becoming a pilgrim to Argentina, please reach out to Jimmy Bartz at [email protected] or by calling the church office at 307-733-2603 for more trip details.
