Keeping the Lights on
St. John's is committed to spreading the light in someone's life. During Epiphany, also known as the Season of Light, we collected funds for Lower Valley Energy (LVE) in order to prevent power disconnections during winter months. We received a generous match for this effort up to $10,000 and were able to raise $23,546 (and counting).
We want to remind you what your good work is doing for our neighbors and how you are spreading love and light in this valley! Here is a success story to highlight your impact.
Outstanding Balance: $1,666.34
The Story: A family in Star Valley is up for disconnect next week. M. has accepted a new position and is now working two jobs. He has five children in the house. Like most of us, he has vehicle maintenance issues. The last two children born were not covered under his health insurance, and the family is paying high medical bills each month.
The Outcome: Email received from Lower Valley Energy: "M. called and was crying. He said thank you through the tears. LVE extends a huge thank you to your organization. It truly touches me spiritually in ways I haven’t felt in a long time."
