Confirmation June 18

Confirmation + Reception Opportunity for Students and Adults
Are you or someone you know interested in being confirmed or received into the Episcopal Church? On June 18, at the 10:00 a.m. service, Bishop Paul-Gordon Chandler will be joining us for a special celebratory service of confirmation and reception.
Confirmation is the ritual through which someone "confirms" the promises made at their baptism and "in which we express a mature commitment to Christ, and receive strength from the Holy Spirit through prayer and the laying on of hands by a bishop" (BCP). Reception is the process through which someone who has been confirmed in another denomination is "received" into the Episcopal Church by the Bishop as a formal member.
These rites are open to anyone old enough to make a mature decision around their faith; and Travis, Jimmy, and the other clergy are available to meet with any middle-schoolers, high-schoolers, or adults interested in being confirmed or received for a bit of informal prep beforehand.
