Annual Chili Cook Off

🌶️ Annual Chili Cook-Off 🌶️
Sunday, January 25 – Following the Annual Meeting
Turn up the Fire, stir up the Wind, and let the flavors Flow! After our Annual Meeting, join us for one of St. John’s most anticipated traditions — the Annual Chili Cook-Off.
Bring your best pot of chili or come ready to taste and vote. A prize will be awarded for the Best Chili, so whether your recipe is mild and comforting or blazing with heat, this is your moment to shine.
🔥 Fire – Chili has been warming hearts for centuries, with roots in community gatherings where one pot fed many. The heat isn’t just about spice — it’s about passion and sharing.
🌬️ Wind – Chili recipes travel and evolve, carried from place to place like the wind itself. Every bowl tells a story of tradition, creativity, and a little friendly competition.
💧 Water – From simmering beans to slow-cooked sauces, chili reminds us that even fire needs balance — just as our community is strongest when all elements work together.
Come celebrate fellowship, creativity, and connection as we reflect on the year ahead and enjoy good food with good friends.
All are welcome — tasters and cooks alike! 🌶️🔥🌬️💧
To sign up, find the sheets around church or email haley@stjohnsjackson.org.
