Laurie Kutchins has published three books of poetry, including The Night Path (BOA Editions Ltd), a Pulitzer Prize nomination for poetry, and recipient of the Isabella Gardner Award. Her poems and essays have appeared widely in Orion, Ploughshares, The New Yorker, The Georgia Review, LIT, Poetry, The Southern Review Intima, The American Journal of Nursing and other places. She has held Artist Residencies at the McDowell and Ucross Foundations, Yellowstone National Park, and the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts. She teaches creative writing at James Madison University, and is resident faculty in the annual Jackson Hole Writers Conference in Wyoming. She divides her time between the Shenandoah Valley, Virginia, and “Wydaho” in a mountain cabin on the Wy/Id border. She is currently working on a nonfiction manuscript on ancestral repair.
