Thanks, Mamas!

Dear M4M Community,

WOW, mamas! Nearly 1 year. What an incredible ride! We are so grateful to share in the remarkable journey that is life with you. This caring community was born out of a dream to make a love-spreading difference in the lives of mothers across ages and stages. And, we are…YOU are!

We would like to pause after these amazing first 11 months to acknowledge you all for showing up for yourselves and each other. Thank you! We have grown so much in the past year. In the summer of 2018, M4M was merely a dream written on a feather. In a short 6 months, M4M developed a working mission statement and more than that a movement that is bringing conversations about self-care, self-discovery, spirituality and the crucial role of nurturers to the forefront of our community and beyond.

In January, we enjoyed our first meet and greet with over 40 mamas right off the bat. Last spring, we loved hearing from group panelists in discussions about Tough Conversations, Career and Pregnancy/Birth. We gathered at noontime and for evening events to learn from pros in the field like Keeping Calm with Rachel, Sleep with Martha and Happiness with Jan. We initiated Playdate Cafe, a kid-friendly coffee hour for caretakers of infants through pre-K that meets one Friday a month at the Children’s Museum thanks to a collaboration with Postpartum Support International - WY and It Takes a Village. We restored our pelvic floors along the way and focused on spiritual and mental health later in the year. We’ve slowly grown our tribe and word is spreading that there is a place for mothers (with and without children) to be heard, cared for and empowered. We have much more in store for you in 2020!

We are excited to announce that we were awarded a grant last month that will fund our childcare offering, Playdate Cafe, M4M branding, and website. Also worth noting, this grant will allow us to work with a coach to imagine how we can go deeper in our connections and conversations. We are developing an advisory council, Alma Mamas, and are seeking individuals who believe in the work we are doing and want to help. If that resonates with you, please reach out to us. Strengthening our partnerships is a priority as we move forward. There has even been interest from adjacent communities to start satellite M4M groups!

We could not have done any of this without your love and support, so thank you for your gracious trust and spirit. We are committed to staying rooted in our values and trusting the process and path as it’s revealed to us.

During the month of December, we will take a break to be with family. Don’t miss the 1 year anniversary meeting on Wednesday, January 15th. We might even have a special treat for all of you who attend!

In presence, peace & love,

Meredith, Haley & Kirsten
