Going Deeper
Thursday, May 13, 2021, 10:57 AM
Join us for six Tuesday afternoons beginning June 29 for Going Deeper.
What do King David, Sophocles, Martin Luther, Howard Thurman, Leonard Cohen and Lady Gaga have in common? Over the centuries humans have wondered who we are and what is our relationship to the vast Universe: a rich history.
Using music, silence and short readings to remind us of that richness, Suzanne Harris will lead six sessions starting Tuesday, June 29, to Tuesday, August 3, 1:30 to 3 p.m. The six readings will be from Sophocles (Pagan); Psalms of King David (Hebrew); Martin Luther (Reformation Christian); and skipping to modern times Howard Thurman (Black Quaker); Leonard Cohen (Jewish/Christian/ Buddhist) and Lady Gaga (secular).
If you would like to participate in this exploration, please email to register with [email protected]. Limit will be 16 people. If there is interest, there may be a reprise later in the summer.
