Eye of the Heart
Thursday, August 11, 2022, 1:30 PM
This summer Suzanne Harris, Susan Jackson and Susan Erickson will lead a group in exploring how we can “Restore to health the Eye of the Heart, whereby we see God.” Join us for six Thursday afternoon sessions from July 21 through August 25, from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. in Hansen Hall, the Labyrinth and at the Chapel of the Transfiguration.
“The Eye of the Heart” comes to us from St. Augustine, who used the expression to describe our deepest spiritual experiences.
Quaker mystic Howard Thurman wrote:
“There is a quiet courage that comes from an inward spring of confidence in the meaning and significance of life. Such courage is an underground river, flowing far beneath the shifting events of one’s experience, keeping alive a thousand little springs of action.”
During our six weeks together we’ll explore how the Eye of the Heart opens our deepest spiritual experiences and can guide us in profound ways that deepen our everyday lives.
Please join us! To register, please email [email protected]. Group will be limited to 25.
