Coming Together for Worship

In case you missed it, check out these helpful reminders for coming back together.
We are offering services at 8:00 am and 10:00 am in the tent adjacent to the labyrinth. Please wear face masks (we will have masks available, if needed) and practice social distancing. Dress accordingly for a crisp summer morning. Bring a cuppa tea or java to keep you warm.
We will continue our Livestream on St. John’s Live at 10:00 am for those staying home. This will be something we continue as our “new normal” even beyond the pandemic.
What Parishioners Can Do
Know When To Stay Home: We encourage you to stay home if you are not comfortable with in-person gatherings for whatever reason. We especially want to encourage you to stay home if you fall into the “at risk” category. We realize that this is a personal decision and we will respect each other as we each make our own individual choice. We ask that you stay home if you have the following symptoms: cough, fever, shortness of breath, sore throat, muscle aches, loss of sense of smell or taste, flu symptoms. Please self-quarantine for 14-days if you have traveled to a high risk area as defined by CDC or if you have been exposed to COVID-19. Alternatively, you could get tested for COVID-19. If your test is negative there would be no need to self-quarantine.
Social Distancing: We will practice social distancing between people of different households by a minimum of six feet. We will arrange chairs in the tent to make social distancing easy and straightforward. We will refrain from physical contact (shaking hands, passing the peace, and laying on of hands or blessings).
Practice Healthy Habits: We encourage you to practice good hygiene (wash your hands for 20 seconds, use hand sanitizer, sneeze into your elbow, avoid touching your face: eyes, nose and mouth). We ask that you wear a cloth mask as currently recommended by the CDC for faith communities.
Singing: There will be no congregational singing at this time.
What We Are Doing
Resources Provided: Hand sanitizer and masks will be provided for people who do not bring one.
New Practices: There will be no passing of offering baskets or shared use of Bibles or Hymnals. Offering boxes will be located at the tent entries. Bulletins will be provided by trained greeters. No coffee or snacks will be provided. There will be a clear protocol for restroom use. We encourage you to use the restroom at home before and after coming to worship. We will keep a contact tracing log of those in attendance, so be ready to give your name and number to the ushers as you enter.
Staff and Volunteers: There will be a team of trained greeters and ushers to help people navigate safely around the grounds. We will keep a log of staff and volunteers serving each week as they must be screened for health per the 5/13/20 Governor of WY order.
Facility Preparations: The facility will be cleaned prior to each worship service. You might consider wearing warm clothes and bringing a puffy jacket to feel comfortable during outdoor worship. Signs will be posted around the building regarding health and safety guidelines.
Response Plan: We have a response plan for if and when someone is exposed or has contracted COVID-19 through a St. John’s Church gathering. The response plan will be initiated to prevent further spreading of the virus.
Children and Youth: We are still considering how and when we can safely provide Sunday nursery care and Children’s Chapel. Until then, children must be supervised by parents at all times.
