A Week of Love
February is the month of love – a time for Valentine’s Day and emphasizing the importance of love in our lives. So here at St. John's, we invite you to participate in these love-spreading opportunities.
Thursday Feb. 14 - "Love Never Ends, Neither Does Laundry." Laundry Love is a ministry with over 30,000 laundromats nationwide that wash the clothes and bedding of low-income families and individuals. We host our community's at the Jackson Laundromat (850 W. Broadway, Unit F) on the second Thursday each month from 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm.
Friday, Feb. 15 - Interfaith Church Service at 6:00 pm - As a follow up to our meaningful bread-breaking shabbat in November, the Jackson Hole Jewish Community (JHJC) and St. John’s Episcopal Church team up for a JHJC annual tradition, Challah Shabbat. Learn to braid and bake Shabbat challah bread with Josh Kleyman. While the bread is baking, enjoy an abbreviated Shabbat service led by Judd Grossman (JHJC cantor), Josh Kleyman (JHJC lay leader) and the Rev. Jimmy Bartz. The JHJC will provide a light main dish, wine/drinks and dessert. Please bring a side dish to share. Families welcome!
Saturday, Feb. 16 - Don't miss this Sweetheart Habitat Build Day at The Grove (250 Scott Lane). Join us as we celebrate love in the sweetest way by giving back! We'll be working inside all day. Please RSVP by Thursday if you are able to join. Sweet treats and lunch provided!
Sunday, Feb. 17 - Join us for a Love-ly coffee hour after the 10:00 am service. Come celebrate Valentine's Day and the love-spreading that's happening around St. John's. And, what better way to show some love than with chocolate and desserts?! Sign up to bring your favorite decadent treats.
Sunday, Feb. 17 - Calling all youth to join us for open skate at Snow King. Meet at St. John's at 11:30 a.m. and skate until 1:30 pm, pick up at Snow King.
