Biography: The Reverend J. Kenneth Asel, Rector, attended Vanderbilt University for his undergraduate degree in Modern European History; his M.Div. is from Seabury-Western Theological Seminary. He also has a Masters in Religious Education from Notre Dame Seminary in New Orleans, and a Doctor of Ministry in Ecumenism from the Graduate Theological Foundation in Notre Dame IN. He became Rector at St. John’s in September of 2003. He is married to Devvie, a corporate trainer and founder of IT Simulations. They have four grown children.

Biography: Mary is a graduate of Harvard Divinity School, is married to Bruce and has 2 young children, Adele and Oscar. Her primary responsibilities are visiting members of the congregation who are no longer as mobile as in years past, ministering to parishioners in need of extra support, welcoming newcomers and shepherding those who desire a deeper connection to St. John’s through the membership process.

Jan Buehler

Biography: Jan was born in Indiana and loved fishing with her Dad and going to the Indy 500. After growing up in idyllic rural Indiana, she moved to Bremen, Germany for her senior year in high school. She performed bookkeeping duties for the rock band Canned Heat during her summers in college.
After graduating from Ohio Wesleyan, she taught 4th grade in Columbus Ohio. A summer job at Jackson Lake Lodge in 1973 brought Jan to the valley. She moved to Jackson in 1974, and continued bookkeeping for Rocky Mountain Featherbed until 1981.
She then started working with Mandie Bellorado at Wyoming Woolens and continues to work there to this day. She and Mandie then opened Teton Creek Bookkeeping, which had its ten year anniversary in May. She is thrilled to be a part of the St. John’s family. Jan's life includes son Jason, boyfriend Wayne, sisters Jo and Judy, mother Helen and cousin Suzy. Jan still trys to find more time to garden, to sit by the fire with a good book and to finish all those sewing projects.

Pam Drews Phillips

Biography: Pam has conducted the Broadway companies of Crazy for You and Jerome Robbins’ Broadway, the national company of On Your Toes, and the national and Scandinavian companies of Evita. Off Broadway she conducted Diamonds, and most recently Cowgirls. As a keyboard player she has played in many Broadway shows, in addition to film work and performances with the American Symphony, New York City Ballet Orchestra, American Ballet Theater.

Biography: Shana sings and plays the guitar. She graduated from Northeastern University in Boston with a B. S. in athletic training. She moved here fulltime in 2006, and as is typical for many people here, has several jobs. She grew up in Dallas, PA and was very active in music at school there.

Biography: Dennis has been an active member of St. John’s since 1985, serving on the Vestry, teaching Sunday School, and many committees. He was ordained as a Deacon in 1999 and serves as Vicar of St. Hubert the Hunter in Bondurant, Wyoming.

Suzanne Love Harris

Biography: Suzanne is a graduate of General Theological Seminary in New York City. She was ordained Priest in l985 and served the Dioceses of Newark and New Jersey before moving to Wyoming in l992.
She helped Bishop Thorton in the early days of St. Francis of the Tetons, now in Alta Wyoming, and has been Priest Associate at St. John's since l994. Suzanne and her husband George spend winters now in Portola Valley, California, near two of their three grown children's families, but Wyoming is home. They have seven grandchildren.
