 Latino Resource Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing assistance to the Latino community. The mission of the Latino Resource center is to facilitate the integration of Latinos into the greater Jackson Hole Community. The Latino Resource Center acts as an information center for the Latino population in Jackson, responding to over 500 cases per month. The LRC is a liaison between the Latino community, government agencies and businesses. Working closely with private and public entities, the LRC ensures that Spanish speaking community members have equal access to services and programs. www.latinorc.org
 Community Resource Center is a community hub for the provision of information, advocacy, agency referrals, emergency assistance and poverty prevention. CRC is an emergency assistance program, networking hub and information source dedicated to linking those who need help with people and organizations who can help. Founded in 2003, CRC collaborates with other community agencies, churches and organizations to ensure that those in need get the most appropriate assistance for their circumstances efficiently, effectively and without duplication of services or resources rendered. We are governed by a volunteer Board of Directors that represents a cross section of our community. www.crcjh.org
Browse n Buy A Mission of St John's Episcopal Church- Browse N Buy is a ministry of St. John's Episcopal Church- a pleasant, welcoming retail store whose purpose is to assist people in the Jackson community. The store provides a place for community members to donate unwanted items and know that their re-salable items will be put to good use. The store sells new and used items to generate funds which support community non-profit social service agencies and the ministries of St. John's Episcopal Church. All items in the store are sold at affordable prices in order to assist those with limited income. The store is operated in a manner that is respectful of people in need and consistent with the values of St. John's Episcopal Church. This institution of Jackson is not only a favorite shopping spot for locals, but is also a must stop for tourists.

JH Food Cupboard provides short-term emergency food needs for members and organizations of the Jackson Community. The Jackson Cupboard is the local food bank. We service the Jackson community and surrounding areas. Our food bank serves on average 350- 400 individuals per week. Our organization is run solely by volunteer help and by food and monetary donations from the community. The Jackson Cupboard is open Mon. and Thus. from 4pm to 6pm and Wed. from 9am to 11am. Clients may come and get food 3 times without a referral. After their 3rd visit they need to obtain a referral from agencies such as Community Resource Center, Latino Resource Center, Mountain House, and various churches in the valley. We provide fresh food coupons that clients may use at Jackson Whole Grocer and on site we have non-perishable items and frozen meats. We are in search of Spanish/English and non-bilingual volunteers for our operating hours and for off hours. Some of our jobs include assisting clients coming into the Jackson Cupboard, shopping for food at local grocery stores, picking up donations, and stocking shelves.
Directions: We are located in the basement of St. John's Church. Go into the Browse N Buy parking lot and look to the north and you'll see a stairwell where we are located.
Sunshine Station The Sunshine Station encourages literacy-based learning for young children through developmentally appropriate curriculum, and attention to each child’s individual strengths and emotional well-being.
The Sunshine Station uses the Read, Play, and Learn!® (RPL) Curriculum developed by Dr. Toni Linder, at the University of Denver. Through use of RPL, The Sunshine Station strives to meet these guidelines by creating a nurturing environment that encourages children and their learning process.
We believe that relationships are the groundwork for human existence. Through developing bonds with teachers and caregivers, children acquire the foundations upon which to progress cognitively.
Low child to staff ratio is a priority of The Sunshine Station. Research on early childhood development has shown that “chaos and confusion happen when we put too many young children in one group, even with an appropriate number of adult caregivers. Smaller groups mean fewer distractions and children's activities that are more focused. In small groups, very young children are able to make connections, form caring relationships, and learn to understand other children”(Lally, Torres, Phelps, 1992).
Sunshine Station respects the varying needs of children and families. An integral component of our philosophy and program is to facilitate cooperative community services for any Sunshine kid that may need extra physical, emotional or cognitive-related support.
We believe in creating a partnership with parents! We encourage ongoing and open discussion about your child, and his or her classroom, and we will host regular parent teacher meetings.
We will use the “Positive Attachments and Learning to Succeed” model developed by Barry Chaloner at the Center for Early Intervention in Durango, Co., to support each child strengths, and to reduce or eliminate challenging behavior in a consistent and developmentally appropriate manner.
